Bit confused with this 40% off offer...

I'm finally back on the forum after a couple of months off... Needed to stay away from it in case I booked another trip

Anyway... Would really like to go back and see all the new shows etc so been playing with dates on the Disney site and also Eurostar. I'm finding this whole offer really confusing. On the original site it says 40% off if staying in any Disney hotel til Sept 2009 but when I look at dates for May it doesn't show any discount. Why is that??

Doesn't say the offer if for specific dates, it says any time as of April if booked by 15th of April...

Do you think if I called Disney direct I'd be able go get the discount or maybe an explanation???

Hello,

You do get 40% off but not on all dates. Also you might only get for example the Santa Fe but not the NYH on that particular date.

We had aleady booked to go in May so had a fit when saw the 40% offer, but when checked lucky for us, the discount was not available for that date.

If you are flexible on dates, it is just a case of going on the website and putting in dates until the 40% offer comes up!!

Yeah, you have to keep playing around with the dates Ema. I've wasted plenty of time doing that but sadly, we won't be going. Haven't raised it with Peter yet but I know this time he'll say no

I rang Disney up and just asked if there was any availability for my chosen hotel in May with the 40% off. The cm on the phone was very good, and was able to tell me immediately what was available and when. Saved a lot of messing about with the website.

Until yesterday NY hotel had the discount on 17th May. Today there is no discount for this hotel. Why is this happening?

It could be that there are a set number of rooms set aside at the hotel for the 40% off price, and those rooms have now been sold?

I've never understood the DLP pricing policy when they have these type of offers I'm afraid - and I think if DLP advertised it properly, that its all subject to availability, then there wouldn't be half the confusion that there is .
