Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to go to Bistro Chez Remy just for dessert and a drink or does it have to be for a proper full meal?

Thanks in advance :)

No it's a set menu.

Probably for this exact reason sadly.

The Café Gourmand offers were always just at Blue Lagoon and Walt's - would have to check the menus to see if they are still doing them even. Yes they are at 11.99€ each.

Bistrot Chez Remy is based on the Relais d'entrecote style restaurant where you don't get any choice for your starter or for your main besides how you want your meat cooked - I find it too restrictive for a theme park and think that they should have offered more choice in starters and allowed people to order à la carte

They do seem to have an a la carte option for the desserts - €7.99 I think. it would be worth asking!

I'll ask them this week if you like. I think they would have the desserts priced separately for some one who would be adding cheese on to their meal or who has the 2 course menu and wine and chooses a cheese or a dessert rather than taking the 3 course option with a soft drink.

The 2 restaurants that do serve Café Gourmand would not automatically allow someone just to come and have it, it was if they felt like it after the main lunch service and before the dinner one, most people I know of or about got lucky in Blue Lagoon rather than Walt's

Ok I went in this afternoon and asked them about it. They said that it wasn't something that they were encouraging but it could eventually be possible depending on numbers and space on week days out of season between 15.30 and 16.30 that eventually they could do a dessert and a hot drink but that there was no garantee and eventually that if you really wanted to do this you'd have more chance of been allowed and accepted in Blue Lagoon. I think I got the word eventually about 5 times :crazy2:

So you could eventually try :rolleyes1

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been back to thank you all before now. I've not been on the computer for a few days and find it a bit more difficult to check the forum on my phone (although hopefully there'll be a better way now that the forums have changed - but that's another topic!)

Thanks for everyone's replies and thanks so much for asking for me Carrie :thanks:

We're there from 20-25 March so definitely out of season and I think I'm right in saying that there aren't any school holidays at that time.

One of my reasons for wondering about just doing a dessert and drink was that it would take less time than having a full meal and given that the Studios isn't open very late, we don't usually have our main meal that early. Plus I've read a few reports of service being a bit slow in there.

But I think it looks like a fab place (from what I've seen through the windows after being on Ratatouille!) so dessert and a drink would have been a great solution.

But like Carrie says, I could eventually give it a try! :rotfl2: And I've not experienced the Blue Lagoon before (apart from sailing past it) so that could be worth a try too!

Hope you'll be successful pixiedust: don't forget to update us on the outcome ..... eventually ;)

I can confirm that. There are about 3 weeks in there between the last of winter holidays and first of spring holidays.
