Bistro Paris, Citricos, Blue Zoo, Il Mulino - Opinions?

Scupper: You are right--serene should be the key.
Ordinarily.

But no restaurant manager in his right mind would even attempt to quiet a # of tables of 10-15 persons, all running up a huge bill on the expense account.
On those rare nights, the occasional diners (and the poor servers) have to put up with it, I'm afraid. Or maybe the diners can ask to be moved.

On the night I described, there WAS no place to move--every last table was full, most of them with those convention/company people. Nothing rowdy mind you--just a dull roar of conversation, punctuated by intermittent howls and squeals of laughter, etc

And to scootert: That only happened one time out of all the times we've been...

Thanks -- I was mainly concerned about the room itself. We find Flying Fish to be very noisy, mainly just because of the way it's built/designed. I agree that on any given night, there can be large groups. And I agree -- no manager is going to try and tamp down those expense accounts!!

We've never experienced bluezoo to be at the noise level at Flying Fish. 1) the tables are not quite so close together 2) more couples/adults only dining. We've dined here when every table has been full and it's still not as noisy as Flying Fish (unless you'd hit a night like UncleRomulus did with convention drinkers).

We've always had very good service at bluezoo. They've also got a nice lounge.

We ate at V&A, Bistro de Paris, Jiko, Flying Fish, Crystal Palace and Tutto Italia during our last trip (Nov/Dec 2010). V&A and Bistro were absolutely fantastic! (See link to TR below for more info) And it helps that both take TIW too.

Bistro - Just OK. Service was excellent, food was good, but not outstanding. But I am a harsh critic when it comes to French food since I lived in France for a while.
It was a bit noisier than I would have liked. Too many people in t-shirts and small children. I guess one would expect that in a theme park restaurant though.

Citricos - my favorite Disney restaurant! It is elegant, but not stuffy. Fairly quiet and sub-dued. Not many kids. Easy to get in to. The food and service are always amazing. I like it because every time I eat here they make it feel like a special occasion. I don't think the food is particularly innovative, but it is always well executed and delicious!

bluezoo - I enjoyed my meal here a lot. I had the tasting menu ($80 for five courses). The service was great. It was very quiet when I went. We had a 5:30 ADR and when we left around 8 there were only like four occupied tables in the entire place. I understand it gets busier when there is a convention at the Swan/Dolphin though. I thought dessert was kind of lacking - it just didn't wow me. But the other 4 courses I had were just amazing.
