Bistro de Paris

Bistro does not have a children's menu. It is more of an adult dining establishment.

I have not been since March and my teen has always been a hearty eater but I have seen the waiters bring out 1/2 orders and what appeared to be plain buttered noodles. Many children go now and I am guessing a good many do not necessarily care for the great French food.

Sounds like you are confusing Chefs and Bistro.

LilyWDW is correct.

I've seen other posts about Bistro providing plain noodles for small children. That said, they do what they can to discourage families with small kids from choosing Bistro. It's not on the dining plan and you have to ask for off-menu items for kids.

In all my visits to Bistro, I have only seen one child dining there and she was about 8 years old, eating an entree from the adult menu.

Bistro does not have a children's menu. The restaurant is fine dining and it is expected that most people will take two hours or more for dinner.

I have only once seen a family with small children and they really hurried out of there (and probably did not get a good value for what they paid). I have seen familiies with children about age seven or up, but they were quiet and well behaved for the entire time.

They used to have a children's menu a number of years ago. I remember taking our DD there when she was about 4 or 5 years old. She's 14 now, so that was a while ago.

I know that they no longer have a children's menu. The last time we went here it was just DH and I......we put the kids in the kids club at the Beach Club. They had a great time and so did we! ::MinnieMo

There is no children's menu there. It's really not an appropriate restaurant for kids. I would take children to eat at Chef's downstairs.
We ate at Bistro for our 1st anniversary and it was wonderful. I was a little perturbed when we walked in and there was a child making a lot of noise. We chose that place for the adult sophisticated atmosphere and menu.

We just ate there a couple of years ago, and they did have a children's menu. That being said, it was more "fancy" kids' food, and my daughter didn't like her salad (she likes more plain salads) but did like her entree (I forget what she had). My son chose to order adult food (he got a filet of beef). It was a great restaurant for my kids! The service was very attentive, and my kids LOVED it! It was relaxing for us, but be forewarned, I am sure our meal was well over $400, and that was two adults and two kids. We felt it was worth it! DH and I got some chef menu with wine pairings, and it was fun and interesting. When my son saw our smoked salmon appetizer, he asked if he could get some smoked salmon. The waiter appeared a few minutes later with a plate of it for him - very attentive! They were also great with my son's allergies to milk and eggs.

I think kids that like nicer restaurants will love it - it's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the theme park. If you have kids that would rather grab some food and get back to the fun, then it may not be the best place. My kids usually love really good food and nicer places (yes, they are spoiled, their favorite place as toddlers was the Ritz for brunch).

Edited to add: I ate at the downstairs place once, or rather tried to. We left without eating, after over two hours. It was horrible. I am referring to the Bistro in my above comments!
