Could someone that has eaten here please give me some information on this restaurant - is it worth it and is it hard to get a reservation since it is not DDP

I looked at the menu - without a childrens menu, can we expect to see few kids and have an adult meal?

Any suggestions on what to order?

Thanks

It is absolutely worth it!

Bistro takes ADRs 30 days from the date you want to dine ... I've never had a problem getting a reservation.

The restaurant is lovely ... the waiters wear tuxedos, the table linens are crisp white, the carpet and upholstery are red, and there are gold accents throughout.

The menu is a more traditional French one ... you can order ala carte or try their tasting menu (which is what we did) ... the food was excellent and they also offer wine pairings.

We didn't see any young children the night we dined there ... one teenager ... the rest were adults and not many at that. It was a lovely, quiet evening. We can't wait to go back this fall.

I dine there fairly often. It is exceedingly rare to see small children as there is no children's menu or pricing and the do not accept DDP.

A couple of months ago therer was a family of about eight with two small children. They must have figured that they were out of place as even though they were only seated a couple of minutes before our group they had completed their meals and left just as we were getting our entrees.

We had dinner there in April (4 adults) and DBF and I are returning in August. It is a quiet. elegant restaurant and the service is excellent. I had the rack of lamb. I was able to make reservations for August at the 90 day mark.

1) Bistro is second only to V&A for parks and Disney-owned resorts.
2) We enjoy it highly, and we ONLY eat at five WDW restaurants.
. . . very quiet and reserved
. . . exceptional service
. . . slow and relaxing meal
. . . hardly ever see kids, since no kids menu
. . . hardly see loud/unruly/crude people, since not on DDP

What are the other four?

I just wanted to let you know that I was able to make an ADR at 90 days out for Bistro this Sunday (June 7) for my September trip. The CM wasn't sure if it would work, but system allowed her to book a table for 2 for 7:30 on Sept 5. So if you do want to go, it can't hurt to try to get an ADR before 30 days out.

I've never eaten here, but I am really looking forward to it.

What are the other four?

. . . Bistro de Paris (Epcot, France, upstairs)
. . . Citrico's (Grand Floridian Resort)
. . . Todd English Blue Zoo (Dolphin Resort)
. . . Shula's Steakhouse (Dolphin Resort)
. . . Il Mulino (Swan Resort)

NOTE: We also do Victria & Albert's, but for special occassions.

We try to make Bistro our final dinner of every vacation (which is always a Friday night). I've never had a problem getting a reservation. In all of our visits there, I've only seen one child dining and she was around 8 yrs old.

I have never had a bad dish here. We have done the tasting menu a few times but we generally prefer to order ala carte. The service has been amazing every time.

When we were there in January, Bistro was a walk-in; all the other TS restaurants in Epcot that we tried were fully booked. It was wonderful! Definitely worth it.

Bistro is on a par (or better than) Fulton, Shulas and bluezoo - it is very, very good. Amazing for a theme park restaurant.

I just made reservations for 9/7 @ 7pm - no problems. I can't wait!

I made reservations for 9/6 at 7:30 via phone exactly on my 90 day mark

(just used the new website to do Raglan Road...too cool)

This restaurant was very quite when we visited (which seemed rare); the food was exceptional. The service was great. Even though they do not have a children's menu, I would still order from the menu or share with my 1 year old. Fresh veggies, herbs, fish or chicken is what I personally feed him...so this would be a nice place for me to go. I love French food!
