I'm so thrilled to be at WDW for my Bday - Dec. 7. I'm trying to come up with a memorable experience.

We're staying at BWI, and my DS's will either go to a kids club or stay with my parents for this night. This is our last night, so I'm a bit leary about a big, fancy event; we leave at 8 am next morning. I may actually wind up moving this "special night" to Friday, the night before.

ANyhow, we've never done either one of these restaurants. Any thoughts?

Both are great restaurants, with excellent food and service IMO. I'd definitely give the edge in both categories to V&A's, though. Plus, since the Bistro is in a theme park, you might wind up sitting next to a family of five in jean shorts and t-shirts (not that there's anything wrong with that outfit, but it doesn't make for a romantic setting). I will say that if you decide to do V&A's on your last night, you'll want the early seating (~ 6:00) - we did the late seating on our last trip (~ 9:15), and didn't leave until after midnight. Either way, enjoy your special evening!! :)

Thanks for your opinion. That would probably be my family with the jean shorts and T-shirts, LOL! Anyhow, I kind of was looking forward to "dressing up" at WDW for once. We'll see...

I'd go with V&As, hands down. Definitely go with the earlier seating.

The decor, service and romantic atmosphere are unmatched by any other WDW restaurant (oh yeah, and the food is awesome too!). You won't be disappointed!

V&A hands down. We ate at the Bistro years ago (1997) and didn't like it so haven't ever been back. V&A this summer was Awesome.
