We will be going to Disneyland in a few weeks and it will be my mom's birthday while we are there. My sister, dad, and I all want to do something special for her. We were going to do a dinner or something, but does anyone know something else we can do?

That depends on how you want to describe special:

1. For the special dress up occaision mom, dinner at the Napa Rose is a wonderful meal in great surroundings, though a little pricey.

2. If mom's more of a big kid, there's a special birthday party bucket available in the Park (Carnation Plaza I think)

3. If mom's more of a sweets mom, then the dessert buffett for the Fantasmic show

4. For the early riser mom, there's Goofy's Breakfast Buffett

5. If she likes shows, be sure to take her to the Aladdin show, it's closing later this year for good.

I would normally also reccommend the Blue Bayou, but it's going to be closed for March.

Make sure you get a birthday sticker at City Hall on Main Street for her. When you go to New Orleans Square, there may be a jazz band playing -- someone sneak up to them & point out your mom & ask them to serenade her. They may pull her up in front of everyone & play happy birthday to her.

When you go to a restaurant, mention that it's her birthday & they may bring a treat for her.

When we were at the Happiest Birthday on Earth for my middle son's birthday there was a cute family that was celelbrating the mom's birthday there. She got her picture taken with Mickey and Minnie and Pat E Cake made a big deal out of her. She was treated like the rest of the birthday kids and it was just really funny and cute.

For SURE get the birthday sticker and wear it prominently all day. If you look like you are having a party a;; day then people will respond. Mention it to the hostess at all meals, chat it up with the people loading rides, etc etc etc.

The rest of the suggestions were really good for ideas.
