I'm not sure if there is a thred already, I wasn't able to find one. I'm looking for "Birthday perks" if you're visiting Disney on your birthday.

I know one is that you get in free on your birthday (and if you're on the stay 4 for 3 deal they give you a giftcard that is equal to the cost of getting in the park)

Not sure about anything else, but it is my understanding that you recieve a birthday badge if you ask for it at town hall. I think the CMs may give you a little special attention and acknowledge your badge if they see you wearing it. We will be celebrating DS 11th in a couple of weeks!

Yeah, you can get one of those birthday pins that everyone is talking about.:thumbsup2

Sometimes the little carts will give out free soda or free ice cream if they see it's your birthday, but not ALWAYS. Everyone will say happy birthday to you...which is fun! There are usually alot of birthday buttons there, so be prepared for that too! Have fun, that's the main thing! My dh's birthday is May 18th, and ds's is May 19th, so we're going around that time, and it'll be fun for BOTH of them!!

I believe that you also have you choice of free entry into the park on the day of your b'day, a fast pass (don't really understand this one since you can get fast passes for no additional cost), or a gift card for I believe $75 good for anything except for food (I think). There is one exception, if you are going as a package (ie. the 7 for 4), you could get a free ticket for up to a year for entry into one of the parks instead of the free entry on the day (this year)....

I had not heard that you can get a gc for your birthday instead of tickets. How do I go about getting more info on that?

I was on the phone with them yesterday for my DH who will celebrate 40 during our trip.

The CM informed me that he could receive a FP and FP for up to 5 people in his party, a voucher for a free day for anytime that year for one park/one day, or a gift card in the amount of the park admission to use in the park on merchandise.

Sorry I repeated what you said, I did not see yours while I posted

I was coming on here to post the very same question!! We're planning a trip in Oct for my b-day. I wonder if the gift card good for merchandise expires at the end of the trip? Or can you save it for the next trip?

We don't need anything merchandise-wise this trip...but next year we're visiting WDW a few days before our very 1st cruise and would love to be able to buy some cool new stuff then! Like towels & such. :-) Anyone know??

We'd end up spending it all on the kids anyway. :rolleyes1

It is my understanding that the gift card expires that day. It is only good for the day of your Birthday.

Some free snacks, lots of Happy Bithdays! Special character attention - during parades our DD got lots of extra attention. In MK at MVMCP during the parade Santa :santa: Santa himself yelled down Happy Birthday to her. I thought she was going to faint! :faint: and she knew "all about Santa" (if you know what I mean).

I'm curious about this as well. My brother is turning 22 on the last day of our trip and I already have the certificate thing printed out from WDW's site so he can get his gift card. When I called to make dining reservations, the cast member asked me if we were celebrating anything special during our stay. I told her about my brother's birthday and she seemed to be taking note of that but she didn't say anything more. Do they automatically bring out a dessert or some other treat when a birthday is noted? I'm not expecting it, I just wondered why she would ask me about it and then not say anything else.

Anyone heard or have speculation about this getting continued into 2010?

We are going to WDW for my wife's BD Feb. 4, 2010 and probably to DL for my BD Oct. 19, 2010. This year our schedules didn't work out to use it... :sad2:

I believe the Birthday Fun card has no expiration

I believe the Birthday Fun card has no expiration

According to the official Disney information page, the card is good only for the day of issue. However, people have been reporting here that they have been told that their card has no expiration. I wonder if the original plan ran afoul of a possible Florida law concerning gift cards; several states have passed laws regarding gift cards, to prevent consumers from being ripped off by expiring cards or monthly fees.

We celebrated my dh birthday on our trip a few weeks ago and this is what happened:

I had registered him and printed out the certificate. But since we had purchased a package plan, we got the $75 card (the price is based on a one day regular ticket). We received that on his birthday. Present the certificate along with valid ID (drivers license, passport, anything that has your picture with your birthday printed on it) at the Will Call window. (I also forgot to add at the AKL when we checked in he got a "Birthday" button and me and our dd each got a "We're Celebrating" button to wear on his day). He had also purchased the day before a "It's my Birthday T-Shirt" to wear also. Anyway, we showed them our "Keys to the World" he showed his driver's license and requested the card. He had been pricing Mickey Mouse watches for the past few days, because that is what he was blowing the card on. And he did. He found the best Citizen Watch at the Hollywood studios and used the card (we had to contribute a bit since the watch was worth more than the card). He was happy as a clam, to say the least. AND....since we were wearing the buttons and and him in his shirt, many CM's also wished him a "Happy Birthday". This was the best birthday he has ever had. We also had lunch in Le Cellier and since he said something very Canadian related after the wait staff sang "O Canada!", they presented him with a card signed by everyone. It was really nice of them, they were so nice.

All CMs do their best to try to make the b'day person feel extra special. Believe me, my DH felt special and he will always treasure this past trip.
