My daughter and her best friend are going to BCV in a few weeks for vacation and to celebrate their 24th b-days ( 2 days apart). She informed me last night that she would like Disney to do something special for their birthdays...exactly what...I have no idea and neither does she....surprise me, she says.

So... does Disney do anything "special" for b-day guests ? If yes, who do I to notify or talk to ??...MS or BCV ??

If not, then what do people generally do to arrange a b-day "surprise" at WDW ??

Any ideas would be helpful.

Call the Disney Florist for special packages that you can purchase. She might get balloons or a card from Mickey for free. But anything else, she'll need to purchase.

At the theme parks, she can pick up a birthday button at Guest Relations. Each park has a different one. These are free.

We did the Birthday button at MK and my DD wore it at every park. The CMs in each place would wish her a happy birthday. She got a real charge from this. I also let the front desk know and they gave her a card signed by Mickey and some other characters. Also, any dinner reservations that we made I would let the restaurant know and they would sing happy birthday to her. She absolutely loved her birthday at WDW! :goodvibes

I totally agree with Deb & Bill about calling Disney Florist. You could note it on her reservation but whether Disney will do something is really hit or miss.

All this talk lately about birthdays reminded me of a trip some years ago. I walked out of the bathroom after taking a shower and my friend has put up all kinds of streamers and a Happy Birthday sign. Disney had nothing to do with it but it was still special.

If you're interested in doing a birthday celebration with lunch/dinner, you can check out Coral Reef. They will have a diver hold up a happy birthday sign.

Our daughter was wearing her birthday button in the Animal Kingdom. A cast member in a store noticed and asked if she got her phone call yet? I didn't know what this meant so I said no. The cast member said to hold on a second got on the phone. She hung it up and it rang and she told my daughter to answer it. It was a phone call from Goofy wishing her a happy birthday. It was pretty cool.
