I mentioned in an earlier post that i was taking my wife to see WWOHP for her birthday. Can anyone tell me if there are any special perks to take advantage of on her birthday?

at our hotel RPR, at the park, or in any of the on site restaurants?

thanks

edit: if a mod sees this, this post may be a better fit in the general universal section, not the resorts and hotels section. feel free to move it for me. sorry

Its not like Disney, never had anything at RPR, but some people have, so would not be expecting anything

agreed, i certainly wasn't expecting anything like Disney does. I was expecting tips like at restaurant X, they will give you a piece of cake if you tell your waiter. I thought i had read somewhere that the resorts did something if you let them know. any tips to help make the day a little more special.

beyond free surprises if there are any things that would make a good birthday surprise, without breaking the budget too much i would be interested in those ideas as well.

thanks

If you go out that night go over to Pat O'Briens and bring a note (with money of course) to the Piano Players and you can have them play a special song for her birthday and wish her one too ;) That might be nice.

Also, if it is not a budget breaker the Blue Man Group is a good option. :3dglasses or a movie.

i know some have got chocolate covered strawberries, but it is hit or miss wether you get them, in 5 years i have had nothing:confused3

I told the people at the Hard Rock Cafe it was my neice's birthday. They had her stand on a table and announced to the entire restaurant that it was her birthday and everyone should yell happy birthday to her. We are taking a different neice this July I'll let you know if they still do that.

As for Disney and birthdays: we used to go every year around my son's birthday. It started out at Cinderella's Castle with a cake so big we had to give it away to another family when we were leaving. Last time we did it they had cupcakes and a bit of confetti they threw on the table. Now I don't think they do much of anything any more unless you pay them.

We will be there in a few days for my DD's birthday. When I called RPR to ask about birthdays, I was told that no, thy did not really acknowledge them. However, it looks like a few people on these boards have gotten some special treatment....I guess it depends on who checks you in, etc. (I won't hold my breath!)

I am taking along some Harry Potter birthday supplies and get a small cake from one of the local grocery stores. A themed cake, of course!!!
