Birthdays at DL

I know DL no longer lets people with birthdays into the park for free. My son will turn 15 while we are in DL and I was wondering what the parks do for birthdays? I would love to make this one a special day for my son. He has had a rough year and I really want him to feel special.

I know DL no longer lets people with birthdays into the park for free. My son will turn 15 while we are in DL and I was wondering what the parks do for birthdays? I would love to make this one a special day for my son. He has had a rough year and I really want him to feel special.

When you get to the Park you can ask for a birthday button. They will write his name on it and he can wear it all day (or all trip for that matter) and get birthday wishes from Cast Members throughout the Park.

When you arrive, he can go to City Hall. Tell them that it's his birthday and he heard there was a phone call waiting for him. They will hand him the phone and he will get a surprise. (I don't want to ruin it here for anyone who has never done it.)

You can plan a special meal at one of the many restaurants. If he's a sports-minded teen, maybe the ESPN Zone in DtD would be fun for him.

You can order a birthday cake and they DO have a birthday party at one of the restaurants at the end of Main Street, but at 15, he might be "too cool" for something like that. Others who have done it might chime in on that - I have never done it personally.

I think he'll have a great time just being a Disney for his birthday! What a great birthday treat!
