Birthdays at Disneyland

I was looking at the Disneyland website for info on the Birthday Parties at the Plaza in Disneyland. I have a few questions that weren't answered that I thought that I would pose to those in the know:

1. The $15.99/pp price... Is this for all attendees or just for the child participants. As far as I can tell the price covers a small personal cake, party hat and a favor. None of which would interest any of the adults that will be attending.

2. Which Characters will make an appearance at the party? The website states Mickey and Minnine but I've had others tell me that sometimes it is other characters.

3. Is there any food (other than the cake) served at the Plaza?

I'll try and answer a few of your questions...we did the b-day party about two years ago for my nephew. We spent his first birthday in Disneyland so the Birthday at Plaza Inn was fit for us.

1. The price is for every one who goes to the Plaza Inn...Every one does get a party hat, a personal cake, and a drink...usually fruit punch. The people in our party were grandma, grandpa, Me(Auntie) nephew and his mom, all of us adults...it was fun for us because of the little guy and it being his 1st b-day, but it isn't for everyone.


2. The Characters we had were Mickey and Minnie as well as Pat E. Cake who is the host for the hour or so. I have never heard of any other characters coming. There is also a chance to have a photo taken with the two.

3. There is no other food served at the party it self but they do serve meals there at other times.

We just went back in Dec. but didn't do the party, we plan to do it again for my second nephew this year around his first birthday. But like it said it isn't for everyone. We enjoyed it and all the cast members were really nice, they gave me extra carriers and streamers for my nephews scrapbook...

The PP answered a lot of questions. My family is a goofy bunch- we have always enjoyed the party. We've done it 3 or 4 times now, most recently 2 years ago. Even the grownups have fun and get silly with the decorating (and sometimes decorate each other...!). Here Grandma and Grandpa are having fun decorating. You get to keep the cups as well.

And here are some cakes that we decorated. The ears had goodies/icing in them for decorating.
