I posted this at the Disney for Family this morning and no one has responded. I am hoping someone here will have advise.

I was wondering about birthdays at WDW. I tried a search and keep getting a error.

My question is...We are planning a surprise trip for our DD who will be turning 5 about 3 weeks before we go. It will be part of her party (we will have a party here so she won't find out about WDW :ssst: party: ). Can I still get a Birthday pin and cake at a Character meal? Or will it be too far from her actual birthday? :confused3

You can get the birthday pin at anytime they don't ask to see proof, my DH did that for me one year, we were supposed to go for my birthday, but plans changed and we ended up going in Jan. We had no problems. We got it at City Hall in MK, but I know you can get them in the other parks. We didn't do the cake so I'm not sure about that. I don't think it will be a problem just make sure you let all the CM's know it your DD birthday when making reservations for the trip. I hope this helps.

They won't ask for proof when ordering the cake either. When you know where you are going to dine call 407-WDW-DINE and tell the CM what you would like to do. She will guide you in the right direction.

My boyfriend and I are going to DW in May, as a celebration of both our 21st birthdays being this yr (mine was in Feb, his will be in June). Would it be wrong to get the birthday buttons all week since the main focus of our trip is celebrating our b-days? :confused3
