Can I say this was a jam packed weekend!!
We arrived Friday night around 8 pm and checked in at SSR. They had Cars plaing out at the main pool and I had to convince our DS that the parks would be better than the movie he has seen a jazillion times
After checking in we headed straight to Epcot for EMH. Walked right onto Test Track! This was pretty cool since our 4 yo DS just recently crossed the 40" mark
We walked around Epcot and World Showcase. Went to Norway and had some pretzels YUM
Around 11 we wnt to our hotel room. I forgot that our DS had never been to SSR and the first words out of his mouth when we walked into the room was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
We woke up the next morning and went to Hollywood Studios for EMH. We got there early enough for me to get my birthday fun card (which I used on 2 princess autograph pens, 2 pressed penny books, 3 pins and the make your own mouse ears with name embroidery). We were near the fron for rope drop and high tailed it to TSM. DS stopped pulling the string and just watched everything flying at him (this was also the first time he had ever left the 3D glasses on). When we got off TSM DH went and got FP's for 9:40a-10:40a. This was a relatively quiet EMH! After TSM DS said he wanted to TOT
So off we go. No wait at all!!!! DS asked me if it was scary when he saw the decor of the lobby and I didn't lie to him; I told him it was only as scary as he made it
So on it we go. He seemed to be ok at first. Then I hear him crying and shrieking get me off this thing. I told him it was over soon. When we got to the end everyone told him he did a great job which brought a huge smile to his face. I asked him if he wanted to do it again and he very loudly proclaimed NO WAY!!!!
Off to Star Tours we went. Walk on as well!! He enjoyed that one. But I noticed something the rest of the day and today, he didn't trust us when it came to getting on any rides. They were all scary from TOT forward
We left HS and made our way over to AK. The point of going there was just so that I could get pics of Devine (I did get pics!!!) He has kept talking about riding Dinosaur ride. So we went to dinosaur. Walk on!!!!! Um....this is not the ride he meant. I kept his eyes covered and his body buried into mine the whole ride. After we got off I had to explain those dinosaurs were robots just like his Spike the Dinosaur at home. That eased his fears. (We were suppose to go to TRex today for lunch, but I thought it was in our best interest to not do it after that ride) We found out that he wanted to do that Triceratop Spin ride, that is Dinosaur to him. We didn't do much else at AK but hang out and wait for Devine. I was going to do the rapids and safari then actually watch the parade there for the first time, but I was hungry and tired. Off to Cracker Barrel for lumch and the hotel for the nap.
We had planned to go back to the room, nap and get up around 4 so we could go to MK and see the new Move It show. Well, that didn't happen.
DS used the bathroom. He kept playing with the doorknob when he came out. DH went to see what he was doing and found the door locked. Now my ever so loved DH is not mechanically inclined and told me it was locked and he would have to call the front desk. So, I let him call the front desk while I looked at the knob. Now this was just a quick trip so I didn't pack a lot of stuff at all. So while I am looking at the door knob I see the little hole to push in the thingy. I remembered there was a bobby pin in my Baggalini when I was packing it up Friday, just didn't know if it was still there. So I ran to the bag and sure enough I left it in there! yay Mom!!!! So I unlocked the door, DH called the front desk to tell them we didn't need maintenance and we all layed down.
5 minutes later, KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK! Seriously?!?!!?! We just want to nap! It was someone delivering my Happy Birthday pic from Mickey. Okay, they're forgiven. We all lay back down again and 5 mins later KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!!!! Its maintenance. Tell them all is well and sorry that the message didn't get to them. Layed back down and fell asleep.
We didn't wake up until 5:30. OOPS!!!!!! So we get up and off to MK we go. Went and got on Splash Mountain with little to no wait, with DS the whole time in que saying it was scary
He enjoyed it at the end and said it was cool. Then we got FP's for BTMRR. Those were for about an hour later. We then walked over to Tomorrowland and did Stitch, DS didn't like the dark Then it was time to get a FP for Buzz then back to BTMRR. That was a quick on as well and then a quick on to Buzz. Another FP for Buzz was in order!! We then went onto Astro Orbiter with very little wait, made a breakfast ressie for Kona for the a.m. of 5/3, went and rode the race cars. Dole Whip time!!!! DS wasn't wild about those, but DH and I love them. DS wouldn't do PoTC So we went back to Buzz. We were going to use our FP's but didn't since it was WALK ON!!!!! After this long day we decided it was time to go.
Woke up Sunday morning and made it breakfast at Kona. DH and I ordered the Big Kahuna and DS the Mickey pancake with fruit cup as his side. The Macadamia Nut pancakes were awesome this morning!!! After breakfast we went over to Kidani to see if the animals were out and they were. This eased DH's mind for the animals he may be seeing out of our room in 4 weeks. We then went to Epcot. DS got 8 autogrpahs there this morning, including Daisy and his beloved Mickey. We didn't ride anything there this morning, just went to go. Then it was back to MK so I could get my MIL her ears for the end of the month. We had a Dole Whip Float and then we ended our trip with a ride on PoTC.
