Birthday Suggestions

Can anyone suggest anything special that the Contemporary resort could possibly put together for a birthday, the cost would be helpful?

Some sort of room delivery, something along those lines.

Hi:

Here are a have couple options... and I'm sure other boards members will have addtional ones.

1) Cake - see the thread link - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1173219

2) Call the resort that you are staing at and request that Mickey and Minnie or a favorite Disney Character send a balloon and birthday card to your room on one of the days of your stay. We have done this in the past and there was never a charge.

If you call CR and ask to be connected to in-room dining they can help. You can order cakes and other things (chocolate covered strawberries etc) for a celebration. I had them fax me a list and I could see prices and options.

Is there a charge to have a Disney character come up to the room for Birthdays?

1) At one time, I think it was $400.
2) But, that was several years ago.
3) I thought the wedding page had Mickey & Minnie for $2500. (Could be wrong, though.)

I've been on the phone the last two hours and no one has been able to help me. Did you have any problems? I bet they've connected me to about 15-20 different people already. My daughter is wanting Ariel on her cake. I've seen one on the cake thread but can't find it now. I think they said it was done at the Contemporary. Please help me if you can. Thanks.

When I called last year (it was Aug 06):
I called the hotel directly and asked for in room dining. When I got the person on the phone I told them I would be coming down and wanted to have something special delivered to the room. I asked if the had a listing of amenities and the prices. I got one faxed to me. I belie it is called and "amenities" list.
