Opinions on which restaurant to celebrate in. I know there's a cake chatter thread and I've already gone there. I'm not looking for advice on where or how to get a cake as I know that answer and I kind of know what I'd like to order her. I'm looking for opinions on which restaurant we should celebrate at.

My daughter's birthday will be the day we arrive. Unfortunately, our plans have changed and we no longer have a TS restaurant scheduled for that evening. She's ok with it and says "mom, I just need a cake at one of our dinners!" :bday:

She originally wanted her birthday dinner at BOG, but I see that "custom" cakes are no longer a thing at MK. It also appears that BOG only does the cupcake trio. Our other dinners are O'hana , Boathouse, 50s PT & Whispering Canyon. I'm leaning towards O'Hana, but I'm looking for experiences, opinions please.

TIA!

We ordered a cake through the Grand Floridian that was delivered at Ohana. I love the cake we got delivered there. My only hesitation is if you enjoy the bread pudding. We didn't even want to eat the cake because the bread pudding is so delicious.
I assume 50s PT would use the same bakery as H&V. We had a cake there and it was nice, but nowhere near as nice as at Ohana.
All of these meals can be heavy and you may be too full to enjoy the cake, but based on atmosphere alone I would think they'd make the biggest deal out of a birthday at WCC or maybe 50's. Ohana was more of a subtle celebration. You can bring special plates, candles, etc with you to make it even more fun. Have a wonderful time!

Thanks! I'm sure she doesn't care where and how huge of deal they make of it. She's turning 12 and just wants a nice cake after dinner.

WCC is serviced by the Contemporary Bakery which is where we've had all of our WDW cakes from. They are usually considered the easiest to work with and tend to have the most options. I think this would be a fun option as well.

I had my fortieth at Hoop Dee Doo. It was the perfect choice. We are a family of five. Our kids were ten, five and five at the time. Bonus is the Contemporary bakery does cakes for the HDDR and they are the cheapest and easiest bakery to work with.

Thanks all - starting to reconsider my O'hana thoughts! (bread pudding-oooooo) She loves 50's and that was where we originally had her birthday dinner on her actual birthday planned, so maybe I'll stick with that.
