birthday question

I do not want to sound tacky or like I am trying to get something for my kids. Both of their birthdays are in the month of Sept. and because my husband is gone every weekend from August to March we are giving my kids a trip to Disney for their b'days. The problem is the only time we can go is in December--would it be totally wrong for me to get tehm birthday buttons since this is when and where we are celebrating their birthdays--a little late I know.

I would definitely do it. We're going in October and we're planning to make my mom wear the birthday button even though her birthday is September 25. We went in March 2001 and to Disneyland in March 2002 and my fiancé's birthday is March 18th so I made him wear the birthdya button almost everyday of our 7 and 4 day trips. Lots of people wished him a happy birthday, and since I made a note of it on almost every PS, we got lots of cupcakes with candles and singing. The Crystal Palace was the best for this, since they gave him a card signed by Pooh and friends, and then our CM told me she'd take our photo with the cupcake and told me to smash it in his face on her cue, which is a great photo! Also, at the Country Bear Jamboree, a CM noticed his pin when we walked in a minute before the show and she escorted us to front row seats. I wouldn't worry about trying to get something for free, the only free stuff (besides maybe a few desserts and maybe a good seat) you'll get is lots of great memories and pictures of your kids celebrating their birthdays.

Just keep in mind that the MK buttons say, "Today is my Birthday" I got one for DS the day before his birthday, and everytime someone wished him a happy birthday, he said, "Tomorrow is my birthday, not today"
If your kids are older, it shouldn't be a problem. If they are younger, just explain you are celebrating at a different time - or use the "un-birthday" theme

I celebrate the entire week of my birthday.
If the trip is a birthday present, I wouldn't hesitate.

We just returned from WDW and celebrated birthday's for both my DD-11 and DS-3, since they are within the same week we were there. By the end of the week, they quit wearing their buttons because so many people asked "Is today your birthday?" upon seeing them. We would then have to explain when each of their birthday's actually were and it just got tiresome. One CM even playfully protested that they shouldn't be wearing their buttons because that day wasn't their actual b-day.
