Birthday question

Hi all,

I'm like a little kid at the moment as we've just booked another trip to the Santa Fe for the 5 of us = me, the wife & our three princesses - 4 nights/5days in the Feb school holiday.
Bit of a late booking, but we couldn't resist a visit for our youngest princesses third birthday.

Her birthday is on 18th Feb, but unfortunately we could have any day before & after, but not this exact day
So we're going the day after

I mentioned to the travel planner that it was her birthday and she said she would make a note of it on our booking - I just wanted to ask if the hotel will do anything for the birthday occasion?
I'm not expecting anything, but just wondered if they put a balloon or card (or anything) in your room?

We've never been so close to a birthday before so I'm not sure if we can request anything special?

Different in each hotel I imagine...when we went for dd 18 birthday at HNY they filled bed with balloons and gave her a Disney mug filled with sweets....not sure if it was related but they also upgraded us to empire state which was wonderful.....I had mentioned birthday when booking....this was several years ago....so not sure what you could expect!

As a general rule, they do not actually do anything for a birthday. You can mention it at booking at ask if any "Pixie Dust" can be added to the room on arrival (this could be anything from bottled water and chocolate coins, to plushes and balloons) or simply nothing! I've known of instances like those above, and others where they have got nothing at all. Though I do believe they do their best to accommodate, they will also say you can guarantee something special, by charging you ¬50 for a balloon!!
Simply as if there are any special touches that can be added as they usually love spreading a bit of the Disney touch

We had nothing in the room (Cheyenne - but had left it to DH to book so he may not have made a fuss about it!!!) but DD wore a badge all day in the park on her birthday and had loads of attention because of it! We even got ushered to the front of the queue in Mickey's official meet and greet place!! (skipped a 30 min queue!!)
