When you have told them you are there to celebrate a birthday what fun things have you experienced? I don't expect anything please don't think that but I know Disney can be notorious for things like that.

We just reschedule from April to June, and it happens to be for my Minnie addicts birthday. We're arriving on her birthday and we're staying at Paradise Pier Concierge, they asked who her favorite character was etc..

We're putting the $$ we would spend on a party at home here towards one of "in room celebrations" instead.

She turns 4 :)

A lot of Cast Memebers saying Happy Birthday, is about all you can really "expect."

Now that said...they usually give you a bag of tortillas at the Mission Factory in DCA. And I got a free cookie at the Pacific Wharf Cafe when we ate lunch there on my birthday.

Make sure you get a reservation at Minnie's breakfast in the park! It will be a fun experience if she loves Minnie and I think they do some stuff for birthdays.

But everyone just wishes you happy birthday and you might get a free desert or too. When you talk to characters they are pretty fun with birthdays as well.

Once I was annouced over a loud speaker at the ride loading dock, and I ususally got to sit where I wanted for things so that was cool.

It's a fun experience over all! i am sure she'll love it and the in room celebration sounds like a great touch!

We stayed at the GCV for my daughter's birthday and they gave her a bunch of balloons and a signed photo of some princesses along with her birthday button at check-in.

Everywhere we went, cast members wished her a happy birthday. At Goofy's Kitchen Chip brought her a cupcake for desert and a couple cast members sung happy birthday. Just let them know when making dining reservations that you are celebrating and most times they will do a little something.

Look into the "My Disneyland Birthday Party". They have it each day at 4:15 at the Plaza Inn. It was a lot of fun and Mickey and Minnie come out together for dancing and photos (a photopass photographer was also there). I think it was $16 per person and everyone gets to decorate their own little cake. I thought it was worth it just to get a chance to see Mickey & Minnie together!

You don't need a birthday to get these... they give em to everyone (sans birthday button) ;)

We are FOR SURE doing breakfast in the park :) BUt other 2 will like as much as her too, we usually do a special dinner for their birthdays and since we're arriving on her birthday we were thinking of goofy's kitchen for dinner. I hear they need time to set up the room anyway... so I was going to make a reservation :)

I was wondering if that was really worth it for a family of 5 at $15 each? Or I wonder if it would be better to split up and one of us goes and does a 1:1 with the birthday girl and the other takes the other 2 to do something else?
