Birthday Pirate Chest Cakes

I was wondering if they still have these chests there, the pink and the brown pirate chests with cake in them.

We are having some major health troubles and might or might not be able to make our trip and I am trying to find out where I can get these. Especially the pink.

Which restaurants carry them? Any way to order like the day of or before in case our health issues flare up? I'd hate to lose yet another dollar that I don't have.

Anyone have an idea of how to get them outside of the park?

Yes, they still have them in Disneyland! I have seen it at Plaza Inn, and I have gone pretty late at night have and the chest was still available. I am not sure if you will be able to order them the day before or outside the parks. But maybe, if you call Disney Dining and speak to a manager, they might be able to do something for you.

We got ours at Plaza Inn as well. We just walked up and got it. No ordering needed.

That is probably the only time I will ever get it again. The cake wasn't super good and it is pretty small for the price.

When churros were $3.75, I think the chests were $7. But I haven't checked recently. I do know churros are $4 now.

It was $15. I could have gotton a really cute disney theme cake at Vons/Safeway for less and it would have been bigger.

The pirate chest cake was cute and all but I would just do without next time.

So you just order the cake while eating? Can you walk up to the Plaza when you are going to head out and just order one so you don't have to carry it throughout the park through the day? What about package pickup with this type of item, anyone know?

Our tentative dates for a 'scouting mission' (so called so we can let our health dictate our plans) are for the 23-27th of October. The Plaza only appears to be having breakfast those days.

Any other locations to get one or has anyone ordered a cake for breakfast?

I also have to ask, in case we cant make it if anyone has would be willing to help me get one or if anyone has one they don't need.

Plaza Inn is counter service for lunch and dinner, and a character meal for breakfast. So they only take reservations for breakfast, but you'll be able to get in the rest of the day.

Wow thanks. Seems like we are really swaying from side to side on this trip. just read about line cutters, have to look up off site wheelchair places and then come to find a happy little bit here.
