I was wondering what everyone thinks about getting a birthday pin from City Hall when the b-day is a week or more away?
Our son's 6th B-day is on the 20th. We will be at Disneyland the 4-11th. Joe is developmentally delayed (he functions at a young 3yo level), so he does not realize what day his birthday is.
He lights up when he hears anything "birthday" related. He insisted it was his birthday this summer when it was his cousins b-day...we ended up singing to him too.
If he were to hear CM's telling "Happy Birthday" during our trip, it would make his day.
Should we get him a b-day pin during our trip?

but my original plans, did not go accordingly, for various reasons, so as to visit DL, during that time frame. I probably won't ask, for it is a bit of a difference between April and August!
Those CMs are trained to look for the buttons and some of them have eagle eyes. You could be getting on the darkest of rides - like HM or POTC - and your button could be slightly obscured by a purse or something, and those sharp Cast Members or Christmas carolers will spot it as you load onto the ride or recline in the lobby of the GCH and wish you a happy birthday! Some of them just completely ignore you, but more often than not, you get Happy Birthdays from all kinds of people. It is funny because, when passersby/guests in the parks start noticing that CMs are saying happy birthday to someone, sometimes total strangers will give you a happy birthday too! I was in DCA and had just left Wine Country Trattoria, and the waitress wished my friend and me a Happy Birthday as we left. Some nice Japanese tourists noticed this and wondered why we got such a nice send off, and they looked at my pin, and in very broken English, said, "Happy Birthday, Sherry." So wearing these buttons is very infectious. People see them and respond kindly. If for no other reason, it spreads good cheer and good vibes all around. Everybody is friendly to each other for a brief moment! And we can never have too much of that!
