Birthday Party

We're going to be in DL in Feb for my son's first birthday and I can't seem to find any good information on this. I know I saw on the disney website that they do a birthday party thing where you decorate a cake, characters come out and sing, etc.

My question is where is this offered, what time, and how much does it cost?

Anyone been and think it'd be fun for 5 year old or is there a better option?

It's at the Plaza Inn at the end of Main Street. I think it's $10-15 but I've never done it so I don't know for sure.

We actually did a birthday party in DL for my son's 5th b-day and it was alot of fun! If you go to the Disney website, search for "My Disneyland Birthday Party". It's at the Plaza Inn and it's hosted by Pat E. Cake. He helps orchestrate the cake decorating and has Mickey & Minnie come out and see everyone. (everyone gets their own mini-cake and frosting and sprinkles) There was also a photo-op with Mickey & Minnie too. The website says it's $15.99 per person and it looks like it happens daily. If I remember, ours was after lunch sometime, but I can't remember the exact time. It was cute though and my son loved having a birthday party in DL!

We are doing the plaza birthday for our sons 5th birthday in March which is a weekday and it is 15.99 a person and it was only at 2pm that day. This is our second time we are going to do this birthday since we did it for our daughters 3rd birthday and we loved it! I loved the chance of getting a cute minnie and mickey picture together and the cake decorating was even fun for my ds when he was just one but he actually decorated his face more. I always recommend the plaza birthday.
