Birthday Party Favors???

I saw the bowling theme party in Family fun magazine too. They made each child thier own T-shirt that said "Joe's bowling birthday". It was really cute. Michael's sells the tee shirts pretty cheap too. The trophy idea would probably be great for 5 year olds.

DD got a really cute bucket with her name painted on it (crafty mom) and in it were <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=gel%20pens" onmouseover="window.status='gel pens'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">gel pens</a>, pencils, homemade initial stationary, etc. Super cute idea! DD is going to be 10 and I am putting cute socks, American Girl I Can bracelet, Hilary Duff <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=make%20up" onmouseover="window.status='make up'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">make up</a> and a Bratz make up thing (all bought for $4.00 for each bag!).
The funniest thing she got for a "Goody Bag" was a goldfish!!! It came in a plastic bowl and with a bag of food (It was a Luau theme <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=pool%20party" onmouseover="window.status='pool party'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">pool party</a>). The fish was 4 yrs old in July and still thriving! He's gotten 2 other bowls since then.
How about McD <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=gift%20certificates" onmouseover="window.status='gift certificates'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">gift certificates</a>?

Goldfish? :rotfl2: When I did the Princess party bags I found princess mirror compacts with a comb, hair accessories, bracelets and little address books, that each girl wrote her phone number in. We also put in pencils and erasers since they were all in school. I too, hate that cheap stuff that ends up in the floor. DD is 9 and still uses the address book, and the compact. At this age, she is a closet princess fan...not cool anymore with her friends :confused3

We like to do cute sunglasses, and then all line up for a photo sporting our shades :cool1:

You can never have too many sunglasses, right?

My son was just at a party where they gave out little fans that light up as they spin around. He loves to play with it. We keep it in the car and he plays with it on the way to kindergarten. I saw these at Wal-Mart in the toy section for $2.00.

I did the light up fans one year for favors. I found Mickey ones at the Disney store on the sale rack. :earsboy:

I have done $5 blockbuster gift cards w/ a lollipop attached. It's easy & its not junk that will get tossed in the trash.

We've gotten the $5 Blockbuster card before with microwave popcorn attached. Honestly we never end up using the thing. (Never go to Blockbuster...we wait to get movies from the library where it only costs $1)

As a mother of three, I hate goodie bags! I really like the trophy idea (you can also get "medals" too. Oriental trading might have them, not sure) as well as some McD's coupons. My kids love those things! For me, the more disposable of a "gift", the better. I know alot of my friends feel the same way. Good luck!!

You might want to se it to buy a "previously viewed" DVD. They have a lot of good ones for 9.99 , so after your gift card, you could have a movie to add to your collection for less than $5, or if you really don't want to do the movie thing, you could always use it to puck up some popcorn or candy, or regift it (gasp!)
