Birthday Parties at TS restaurants

We are planning a surprise trip for the kids, and while we are there we will be celebrating DD's 9th birthday. We will be at MK that day for MNSSHP, so I have a ADR at LTT.

Have you had a birthday party at a TS?
What things have you arranged to have done while you were there? Like balloons, gifts, a cake?? Or anything I might not be thinking of??

We want to make this a very special birthday for DD, so I'm trying to come up with ideas and I know all of you have great ones to share!!

Make sure you stop at Guest Relations and get a birthday pin. The characters made more of a fuss with us because of the birthday. They came out with the apple cobbler with candles and four or five of the wait people sang the birthday song.

We had streamers and Mickey confetti on the table for dd's birthday and she got a card signed by the characters (this was at CP). We had breakfast at Boatwright's that morning and they brought her dessert (Rice Dream!) with a candle and sang to her. Also, mousekeeping made a special towel animal display for her - I guess they saw the wrapping paper and cards - it was a nice surprise!
