Birthday, not a birthday.....

I celebrated my actual birthday at Disney in April and TONS (I mean tons!) of people wished me happy birthday all day long, CMs and guests alike. I never went 5 minutes without a Happy Birthday being thrown my way. I also had many people start up conversations with me based on it being my birthday. I didn't mind it one bit; I loved it actually. It made me feel like I was celebrating my bday with friends I just hadn't met yet. It felt very special!

All of this to say, do what you think your girls will feel comfortable with! If they'd eat that up, do it! What other people think doesn't matter, and the CMs are used to people celebrating occasions off schedule...they actually encourage it.

Personally, I think I'd feel awkward if it wasn't my birthday. I think I would opt for the "I'm Celebrating" button. Then when people ask what they're celebrating they can say, "This is our birthday trip!"

We are going 2 weeks before DD's birthday and will be getting her a button. We will NEVER be able to go on her birthday because it falls the first week of school for us.
It is also a few days after our 15 year anniversary, so we will have those buttons too.
