Birthday meals?

My nephew will be turning 10 during our trip in June and I want to schedule some good meals for his birthday. Something fun and silly. His birthday falls during a busy time for his family and anything they do is usually last minute, so I want to make this extra special. What are some good places to take him and why?

Chef Mickey's is the ultimate birthday. I think for no characters, I would choose Whispering Canyon Cafe. It is a hoot! If you do Hoop-Dee-Do and tell them it's his birthday, one of the singers might come out and sing to him or have him stand up.

I second Chef Mickey's. We went for my Godsons birthday and they gave him a button, a placemat and a special card and cupcake. They played a birthday song and had the whole restaurant twirling their napkins in celebration. It was a "magical moment" for all of us.

I would also say Chef Mckey's, it is a party atmopshere, you can order a cake in advace and the charcters will bring it out and it is not 'girly'. Also, a good wide range choice of food and I have never had bad service there. It is also good seeing the monorail go through the hotel.
