OK so were trying to sort out ADR's for October November. It's my BF's birthday on this trip and so I want to book somewhere nice for his birthday meal. I was hoping to get a personalised menu for him from one of the restuarants but wasn't sure how to go about requesting one. The restuarants we are going for are:

Yachtsman Steakhouse - probably on his actual birthday
Le Cellier - towards the end of the trip
Artist Point - on the last night
Garden View Lounge - can you book afternoon tea? Im not 100% sure but would want to if possible
Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood Brown Derby - middle of trip

Do I ask the CM when booking the meals to add a note that it is a birthday meal? How do I ensure that I get a personalised menu and which places do you know I can get one? I have managed to get one before at Artist Point but we didn't request this we just booked a meal and had a note on our reservation about it. As its his first trip to Disney and his birthday I would like to make it special and I think personalised menus would be nice. I am still debating the idea of a cake as there are only going to be 2 of us and we will be spending a couple of nights in Universal so probably not practicle (also staying in Pop Century which has no fridge I believe)

Thanks in advance

I believe it would be best to call the restuarants direct to get personalized menu. I know at Coral Reef you can send pictures and they will add to the menu also you can have the diver in the tank bring down a message if they are available. Are you one the dining plan? Most of the restaurants will bring out a dessert with candle in it instead of the cake. We did this for my DH and DD bdays which were during our 2006 trip. With regards to the fridge, I run a fridge swap at POP and have Nov. 1st-9th available. It is free and includes a coffeemaker. Here is the thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1769735

If you are interested, just send me a PM.

thanks

Thanks. Does anyone know how to get the telephone numbers of the restuarants or email addresses?

Just call the disney dining number and they will give you the phone numbers for each restuarant.

My BF brought me to Artist Point for my Bday and my menu was personalized...I know Victoria and Albert's also personalize (expensive meal but OH SO GOOD!)

I am a picky eater as well...at V&A's they tailored a menu just for me...And at Artist Point I substituted alot and the were very good about it!
