When im going to WDW in march next year, im going to celebrate my Bday there. :bday: I heard that you can get like a free pin or something, does anyone know if thats true??? And can you get anything else? (I know that sounds greedy, but it's not ment like that, it's for the fun of it):hyper:

You can get a birthday button at guest relations in each park. Get it as soon as you get to each park each day. Also, when making your reservations and ADRs make sure to mention that you will be there celebrating your birthday. Lots of restaurants will give you special seats, pixie dust on the table, card signed by characters, etc.
Have a great trip and great birthday! :wizard:

We go to WDW in Nov and it just happens to be around my Bday! ;)
Anyway, at the WL when I entered my room there was a Mickey balloon, and card signed by Mickey and Minnie wishing me a happy Bday. I was so excited, like a big kid!! Also DH would tell the servers it was my Bday and they would bring a cupcake and sing to me. At the CP I got a card signed by all the characters and they posed for a pic with me! I didn't wear the pin but would imagine you would get lots of attention wearing it!

Definately get your pin.....listen to the Dapper Dans, they will sing Happy Birthday to you! We celebrated DH's birthday on our trip last week...at the 50's Prime Time, they had a card signed by our server and all our "cousins!"

Disney always does fun stuff to help you celebrate your special day!!

Have a great trip and :bday:

My dad just had his birthday while in WDW, I advised him to get the button from the park and he did. He wore the button while he was a DTD. He ate at House of Blues and received free ice cream.

DH41 wore his button last week on his birthday and we ended up with FIVE desserts at CRT (for 3 of us) and a candle in one! It was great! The princesses all signed his Magical Moment Certificate and he felt like royalty. He also got a free bag of chips at Epcot b/c the CM noticed it was his b-day (or maybe because of YOMD). Either way, it was nice, and all day CMs call you by name (because it's on the birthday button) and wish you "Happy Birthday!" :)

So do you just get the Birthday button on your actual birthday? We will be arriving on my birthday in December, but will not actually be going to the Parks until the next day.

I am so excited......DH and the whole family surprised me with a trip to WDW for my 30th!!!!!

Can't wait to get to Disney!

Thanks!

I don't think you have to go to guest services anymore. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but we were there last weekend for my birthday. I received my pin when I checked in at the resort, and all the parks have the same pin now. At least every person I saw with a pin had the same kind I did. Too bad. I liked getting the different pins from the different parks. Oh well...

Everyone sang to me on Star Tours at MGM though that was pretty cool as well as the countless "Happy Birthdays" from CMs and guests. Oh, and I turned 41, so the buttons and special attention isn't just for the young ones.
:thumbsup2 Eva

Only the most awesome group of guys in the universe! They sang Happy Birthday to me on my 40th Birthday. I love their version. I just about died from happiness right on the spot.

They are a barbershop quartet that roams Main Street at the MK. They sang a Christmas Medley for my DD because she couldn't pick a song that she wanted to hear. They rock! OK, limited vocabulary, but, Man, I love those guys.

DH did get a different pin at Epcot that said happy birthday in different languages, but nowhere to write your name on it. They were on the turnstiles as you go in.

We are celebrating my dd's B-day in November and I was able to order a B-day cake for her that will be delivered to our table during dinner. When ordering the cake the CM I talked to asked me if I told the CM when I made our ADR's and I said no, and all she said to me is that she would take care of that. She also told me to get pins at all the parks we go to on that day.

so were exactly do you get this pin from in the parks? is there an info servicestand or something...?

Since we were just there for my birthday, I wanted to collect all the different buttons from the parks for my birthday. We were told by all 4 guest relations at the different parks that all the buttons are the same now for the YOMD, and the old buttons have been discontinued. I was disappointed...but I really LOVE the new buttons, so the disappointment didn't last long! :teeth:

Be sure to note on your hotel reservations (if you're staying on site) that you're celebrating your birthday. When we checked in at POP, they asked who my favorite character was, and a few days later we came back to our room to find a card and great photo for me signed by Belle and Beast! :Pinkbounc

For the past two years I have been lucky enough to celebrate my bday in WDW,mine is July 2nd and my sisters July 4th (go for a double celebration) We wore the badges and lost count of the congratulations received from guests and cast members. The first year we were at AKL, checked in on my bday and had a room upgrade which we were more than thankful for, we also both received baloons and cards in our rooms. The following yr at POP we also found baloons and cards signed by chip and dale and stitch. We had deserts and happy bday aswell as cards signed by the pooh gang and magical moment certificates when we dined at CRT while wishes were on. They were magical trips!! But with or without it being a birthday celebration Disney would have made it special

I will be at the magic kingdom ON MY BDAY next sunday...( yup, ill be 31  on oct 29) Last year we were on the DISNEY cruise for my 30th, now DW for my 31...LOVE IT!! i will def be grabbing a BDAY pin and reminding my Travel agent of our anniv/bday trip!!! party: happy bday to ME*

Happy Birthday!!! I know you'll have a wonderful time!

Not to be a downer, but just as a warning, definitely don't expect anything, so you won't be disappointed if nothing happens. It will just be a bonus if it does.

We celebrated my Dh's b-day there, and he didn't get any type of birthday wishes from anyone (well, at least from us, he did!). The thing I was kind of bummed about though, is that I called GF before we arrived and asked if I could purchase a cake or small gift to put in our room, and they told me not to worry about it, they "would take care of it." I reminded them at check-in, but they never did anything during our stay. The thing that got to me was I wasn't expecting anything for free - I had asked to pay for something and they said they'd take care of it, then they didn't. I guess I should have insisted that I pre-arrange something, but when they said they'd take care of it, I assumed that they would! Live and learn. You can't have a bad birthday in the happiest place on earth!

Guest Services in City Hall at MK; Guest Services at the other parks, too. Although, look at the turnstiles in Epcot, since that's where we got DH's pin.
