This is my 3rd try to post a message... for some reason, the others aren't showing up (and I have refreshed my browser several times... lots of other new posts showing, but not mine!).

We will be at WDW for my youngest son's 5th birthday and I'm looking for ways to make the trip memorable for him. Other than a character meal and birthday pin, what suggestions do you have? Does anyone know of any tips for increasing his/our chances of being a parade family??

Thanks,

Karen

Hang out near Tusker hour 45 min before the parade at the Animal Kingdom and maybe you'll get lucky enough to be in the parade.

Someone told me that if you go into the Town Hall on Main street at MK and tell them its your birthday they give you a pin to wear. Once the staff see's the pin on you they make special efforts for you, wishing you a happy birthday and the like. For a young child this attention everywhere he goes (rides, shops, rest) I think will be very memorable. My friends children did it for her (and she's 50) and she's still beaming!!
