we are invited to a bday party for a 7 yo boy, my youngest picked out a multi pack of hot wheels cars for him, but I think I should get more than that ( it only cost $5)
any ideas?
Movie gift cards. That's my "go to" gift here lately when I can't think of anything . I got creative and bought a microwave popcorn bucket (about $1.50 at walmart) and bought a couple boxes of the $1.00 candy and put the gift cards in with that and wrap them up w/a bow in a transparent celophane (which I can find at the Dollar Tree).
While ds12 LOVED cars and pokemon at this age, ds7 has absolutely NO interest (which is unfortunate, since we have hundreds of cars...). Gift cards and legos seem to be pretty well-liked gifts for boys this age.
I think maybe a puzzle as well would fit in with the other ideas depending on what you want to spend. For my son he loved legos, puzzles, transformers, a football or basketball, mostly anything he could do something with his hands.
wanted to update.........
we went to the party the other day and I ended up getting him a Walmart gift card and included the hot wheels set that my ds picked out. he was thrilled with both things
also he got a bunch of lego stuff too which he loved, so I was glad I did the gift card so he can go pick out something else for himself
