Just wondering how choosing the Gift Card works over the free admission. I know the card expires after midnight and can only be used on merchandise but how much is it for? It's for my 3 year old (turning 4) so would that be the cost of a one day park admission so is that $63?
I want to let my son "go wild" and pick out whatever he wants (I'm a control freak so this will be my gift to him LOL) and just want to know what to expect.:scared:

Yes, the gift card will be for the value of one day ticket for him which as you said, is $63. He actually has longer than just that day to spend it though. I believe he has a year to spend it, though I would personally try to use it that trip.

We were there in June for my daughter's 7th birthday. We let her have the gift card as her birthday present, which she loved! It was $63.00 and she did have all week to spend it, they told us she had to spend it in the parks or resorts though.

Officially, I do believe it has been changed to not expiring at all...

If I knew before just how well DS would deal with a limited-amount giftcard, I would have done it LONG before. We did still have restrictions, b/c we are serious about age recommendations on toys (though after a convo with Lego I think I'm easing up on those specifically), but he had so much fun getting things with an age rec of 5, that he'd been eying since he was 3.5. And when it was gone, it was gone! No more asking for stuff! Brilliant. I never would have thought it would work with him.
