Birthday Fun Pass at Outlet Stores?

Can the Birthday Fun Pass be used at Disney Outlet Stores in Orlando? Or is it strictly for in-park and Downtown Disney? I can't determine this from the FAQ list on the Disney web site.

No... it cannot be used at any of the Disney Stores or the outlets. It has to be used at the participating stores in the parks. There are some posters that have mentioned that they have not been able to use it at DTD either.

Thanks. The Disney FAQ isn't very clear; I've poked around on the Dis Board, but there seems to be conflicting reports. Bottom line is, what you can use it for is fairly constricted.

Yes....I suppose it is purposely done this way. It does not take alot to buy $75.00 worth of merchandise at one of the shops in the parks. Disney is hoping that you will spend more and be OOP some more money!!!
