We didn't get one but I think it depends on which park you are in...every ride had a special FP line that stayed open even if the FP were gone. So the bonus would be you could get FP even if they run out.
We were there in slow season (February) and a lot of the machines were closed b/c the lines were so short. So I would say it would not have been a good idea then but it might be in the summer.
I personally feel having regular FPs are sufficient. Are you not considering the $75 gift card? To me that would be the best value - I guess the question is if the FP is worth $75 to you.

I am worried about the lines we will face on July 8 and think the birthday fast pass might be the way to go. We have over $400 to use from our Disney Visa, so that's why we are considering the fast pass option.
My cousin was there with her family over the Easter break; so she thought with the crowds that the birthday fast pass was the best bet. She was very disappointed to find out that you actually only get the fast pass for 6 rides. They put them into 2 separate catergories and you can pick 3 from each one. She thought it really wasn't worth it at all. We are going in June over my ds's b-day so Im on the fence over this as well.

I'm not working today (slight cough ) so I'm going to track down info I found on another board. I recall reading it was for 8 rides. I knew about the two groups and thought you could pick 4 from each group.
I'll post again with a link if I can track it down. I SOOOO hate waiting in line!

Your DDs bday is July 8th?? So is my DD! We are going too but we will get her the Fun Card to spend, she's already said she's going to start looking when we go next weekend for my bday. lol Oh, we will be in DL tho, not WDW. Have fun whatever you decide to do!

I'm torn between the fastpass and the gift card because you only get a few rides on the FP. As of now I'm planning the FP. My bday is June 5th. We'll see. Oh, btw my ds bday is July 8th too!
