We'll be going to Disney World about 2 weeks before my daughter's 5th birthday. Does anyone know about any "extras" I can get for her at any of the restaurants (like a cake or something special)?? How/when do I request these and what is the approximate cost? We're doing the DDP, does this make a difference? Thanks for any info, this is our first Disney World trip!!!

This was four years ago, but for my dd's 3rd birthday, when we made the ADR (then called PS) at Crystal Palace we told them it would be her third birthday and they said to make sure to confirm that when we checked in at the podium. They had sprinkled pixie dust on our table and at the end of the meal, brought her a cupcake with a candle as well as a card signed by all the characters at the meal that day. It was really sweet and thoughtful (and free) without being a huge deal, if you're looking for something low-key.

When I called to note my birthday on my ADR for Tony's this Sept the CM I got was awesome and wanted to spread some pixie dust...She decided to note it on 4 of my ADR's so that I would get something extra special a few times...So just call and add the info to your ADR's and also as someone else mentioned, check out that thread on ordering cakes.
What ever you do she'll have a special time.!

I went to WDW last Aug for my bday and at Ohanas I got a card and a table by the window, at CRT I got a card and a table by the window, at Beirgarten they brought me out a whole bday cake and I didnt even order one! At Le Cellier they brought me out a bday dessert. Then when I went to buy a bottle of water off a cart in EP the guy noticed my bday button and told me it was free.. Had several CM burst out in Happy Birthday songs when I was entering a ride. I felt so special and spoiled! Im sure if they did all this for a 31 yr old they will make a much bigger deal out of a childs bday. I would have your ADRs noted that its your childs bday and remind them at the podium.

we'll be celebrating DHs birthday at the world
His bday is 8/8 and he flies to WDW 8/19
