We will be going Nov 10 to 17th on our honeymoon!! It is also my fiancess birthday on our arrival day and mine on the 16th!! We have a lot to celebrate! I'm looking for suggestions for our special birthday meals! My fiancee is super picky (won't eat rice, Asian food, doesn't love veggies, no seafood) and I am not very adventurous when it comes to eating. I would love a character meal and he doesnt care if he gets one! What are the best restaurants for us to try! We have only done BOG for a sit down dinner in the past, we usually grab quick service!

I would try one of the Steakhouses for one of your meals. Ragland Road also has a variety to choose from

You should do Cinderella’s royal table in the castle. It’s a character meal, nothing crazy in terms of food, and just super cool! We went two years ago for our honeymoon and they gave us a table right next to the window. I’m very picky but I haven’t had any trouble finding something to eat there. The potato soup is AMAZING and the steak is good too.

For something special, i would consider California Grill, they have a lot of more exotic foods, but also some standard fare. If you time it for fireworks, its hard to beat.
I would also consider Artists Point. Very nice inside. A more pacific northwest menu, but still plenty for the non adventurous.
If you like good Italian Il Mulino at the Swan is amazing.
For steaks, I have not tried either, but read great reviews of Shulas and Yachtsman Steak House.
I agree with pp about CRT for your character meal.

You might want to try the California Grill brunch on Sunday. They have all you can drink mimosas, food from a buffet and to order. You can also come back at night to watch the fireworks.

These are all such great suggestions!

For your character meal, you really could pick any one (except, perhaps, Tusker House which will have more "exotic" foods) as they all have very basic foods. CRT is a great suggestion for your celebrations! It's so special to eat in the castle! If you'd rather do something with a lower price point, I would think about which characters you would most want to meet and go from there.

I agree with the Cali Grill recommendation. The food isn't super fancy and the view is amazing! I would also consider Narcoosee's for the steak and seafood and the great view.

HDDR is so much fun and the will recognize both your birthdays and your honeymoon!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!! I was thinking I wanted to do CRT for my birthday, my worry is getting a reservation! It is near the end of our trip so I might get lucky!! I will check out California Grille, and Hoop Dee Doo, those could both be good!!

Are you at 180 days yet? We never have trouble getting a reservation for crt.

Oh no, I still have lots of time! I was worried about my BOG reservation and got one just fine, so I am sure I stressing over nothing...

Whispering Canyon Cafe @ WL could be a fun choice. Have you looked at the menus on Allearsnet.com

I wondered about that, I thought it could be fun for my fiancees birthday! It sounds like a great time and I have been looking at menus, and we would like the food there! We arent very fancy at all, so its sounds like our type of place....as long as we dont ask for ketchup (from what I hear)!

Whispering canyon has been on our list of places to eat for two years and we still haven’t gone. I think we might try next trip!

I would try brown derby at HS, you can couple it as a fantasmic dinner package so that you don't have to wait in the long line and you will get great seating. I was initially thinking Jiko, but then i read the list of dislikes. Ohana for dinner might be nice - you could make an evening out of it with dinner, shopping and then fireworks on the beach.
