We are me, my wife and our 6yo son. Our arrival day this summer will be my wife's birthday. We hope to arrive mid-day and have a few hours in the park. What would you recommend for a special birthday dinner (or perhaps a late lunch)? We'll be staying at the New York Hotel.

I'll also be celebrating my birthday in Paris. Although I won't
be in Disneyland on my birthday, I'll probably want to try
something special in the park the evening before my birthday.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I've had 2 birthdays in The Blue Lagoon which were superb. It's my favourite restaurant anyway due to the food and out of this world setting and atmosphere, add in birthday celeberations, a cake and everyone singing happy birthday and it's unforgettable.

I had my 40th Birthday celebration in the Blue Lagoon last year and it was superb, everyone had a lovely time from my 3 year old niece right through to the adults. I'd highly recommend it, we cancelled the birthday cake because we'd had one for my son a few days earlier and still had the remains of it back at the hotel.:)

Hi. It will also be my Dads 60th when we are there and have heard lots about the blue lagoon. If we want to go there can you just turn up on the night and ask for a birthday cake or do you have to pre arrange it???? Going in 10 days...... cant wait

You can order the birthday cake on arrival at the restaurant, or if you know what time/day you want to eat you could make a prior reservation and book a cake either before you go by phone or whilst at the resort there are a number of ways of making a hotel reservation, through hotel consierge, over the phone from your hotel room, etc. :)

We've eaten at the Blue Lagoon twice and love it. We also have had wonderful meals at Walt's (on Main Street), Cafe Mickey (in the Village) and Inventions (in the Disneyland Hotel). Cafe Mickey is a character meal, it is also a character buffet (dinner only) at Inventions.
