My niece will turn 8 during her trip to WDW. This is only her 2nd time there. She's been to Hoop De Doo. She has 4 older brothers (ages 10-16) so no princess meals. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

If it's her birthday and she likes the princesses, I say forget about her brothers and bite that bullet. It's not their birthday. Head over to Cinderella's Castle.

But, if you want everyone to be happy you go to Chef Mickey's. Everyone will love the sundaes and deserts.

I agree-tell her brothers to get over it, and let her choose, and if she wants the castle or 1900PF, that's where they'll eat.

50's Prime Time might be a good option for a fun place.

Well, I agree with the castle if she really likes the princesses, if not....

Chef Mickey's -- lots of fun, variety of food, festive atmosphere
Crystal Palace -- same as above
50's Prime Time -- we went with my whole family and everyone loved it; my cousins loved seeing their father get put in the corner for sticking his tongue out; my sister loved seeing my father get fed his vegetables; it was good for my son (at the time 15 months old) because they actually brought a few toys over to the table for him to play with; everyone loved the desserts being shown on a view-master; we were there on my birthday and it was a lot of fun - everyone in the room we were in (including people we did not know) signed a birthday card for me as well as sang Happy Birthday over a cupcake with a candle

Have fun!

I agree with above posters, the boys should get over it! It's only one meal, after all. My 12 year old twin boys were forced to deal with it, and it wasn't even their sister's birthday. They did decribe this meal as the most 'boring' of our trip, though. If yours are a little older they may not even mind the attention of the lovely princesses.

Other places you could try: our kids all loved 'Ohana and Whispering Canyon. These are very interactive and entertaining meals w/o characters.

Well I vote for Cinderella's Royal Table too but I don't think the boys will have anything to complain about. It isn't a character meal at dinner although there's a chance you'll see Cinderella or the Fairy Godmother in the lobby. But they might also catch a glimpse of Peter Pan and Captain Hook dueling and chasing each other outside the windows in the restaurant. It's a cool castle with a winding turret staircase, lots of armor and flags, etc. My boys loved it when they were young and in fact still do.

Hi..

I also vote for 1900 Park Fare.... an 8 year old girl would love a princess at her party!

My other thought was the Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Polynesian... they would make a special announcement about her birthday and I'm sure the boys would like the fire dancers...

Have fun whatever you do.. what a great place to have a birthday.

My niece is not a girly girl (small wonder) Although she does enjoy mothering my infant twins & getting her nails done. I think Chef Mickey or Crystal Palace might fit better .
