Birthday dessert at DLR?

Is there a place at disneyland to get a fun little birthday dessert? Something like a nice slice of cake?

Ooooo...Steakhouse 55 has an AMAZING cake!!! So many layers, with all different fillings. I'll see if I can find a picture...

It's in the Disneyland Hotel. My friends and I (4 of us) shared one piece and couldn't eat it all! We had ours in the lounge outside SH55--we didn't go into the restaurant. It comes with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream (I think it's homemade). It's YUMMY!!

Jazz Kitchen has an incredible double chocolate bread pudding, which is so much better than it sounds. It's like a souffle, made to order, and they give you both white chocolate and dark chocolate ganache to pour into the center. It also comes with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on the side. I'm sure other people have their own favorites, but those are mine. Oh, and JK also offers a delicious Bananas Foster that they make (and flambé!) at your table.

I am planning my birthday dinner at Steakhouse 55 and plan on getting that cake. Even if I can't eat it all, it will be totally worth it!

We had this in late Spring and it was incredible. We also had the chocolate taco from Steakhouse 55 and I loved it. Its not as grand but it sure was good!


OP, Napa Rose also has some incredible desserts.

Is this for an adult or child's birthday? The S55 cake is great for a grown up/older kid birthday. If Black Tap Burgers is open by the time of your trip, the special shakes might make a really special birthday dessert for someone. (Adult shakes can have alcohol.) A super sundae at Ghirardelli's also can be a very fun birthday dessert for any age. Cupcakes from Sprinkles? (Use them to stack and build a cake?) For a child, some of the CS places have birthday/special cakes at the dessert counters. I think Plaza Inn and RDZ had these cakes? And, of course, there are the custom cakes that can be ordered and then delivered to most TS locations. My philosophy is that if you have a particular favorite dessert at DLR, that can be your birthday dessert -- get more than one if you'd like -- hey, it's your birthday!
