Do I just request this be added to our ADR in order for my son to receive one? Should I remind them at the podium? I'm guessing they will do this even for a (very early!) breakfast ADR.

Thanks.

In my experience, we didn't specifically ask for anything (didn't knnow ahead of time there would be a cupcake!). We just made a notation on the ADR's (1900 PF breakfast and Chef Mickey's dinner) that it was DD's 5th birthday, and they did the rest. She was very excited and surprised! At both meals, they acknowledged all the birthday celebrants at the same time, sang to them and gave them cupcakes with candles to blow out (plus a "signed" character placemat to take home).

Two things you can do. Tell the CM when you make the ADR and make sure they know you are celebrating a bday. Then, get your son a bday pin and make sure he is wearing it. They will notice and it will get him a cupcake. YAY!

I need to call back and add that to the ADR we already have for his birthday. Our room reservation has that it's his birthday during our stay, but I never specified which day it is.

Aren't the pins only available at parks? Our ressie is for 7:15. Maybe we'll just have to pick it up the day before.

I would definitely get the Birthday Pin. On my nephew's birthday, he was given a cupcake at CP for breakfast (it was kind of frozen). He didn't get a cupcake at dinner at CRT, but we had ordered a specialty cake so we didn't really want a cupcake.

A few years ago at Chef Mickey's when my family and I were celebrating my dad's birthday we told our server after we were seated, then later on Goofy brought him a cupcake.

You can pick up the birthday button when you check in at your hotel. Enjoy your trip

I was at CM for my 29th birthday, I didn't note it on my ADR's but when we checked into our Resort they gave me a birthday pin to wear. When we checked in at CM that night, they saw it. When we got to the table there was mickey confetti and a place mat on the table for me it was so cute, they brought me a lit cupcake and told me not to blow it out b/c Minnie would be by shortly to take a picture with me during the little song and napkin waving thing they do. It was cute and fun.

I didn't go out of the way to let them know, but they noticed

We're here now......did not note it on any ADRs.
DD is wearing her birthday button and has received 4 cupcakes at meals so far.
We also received anniversary cupcakes.

We didn't do Chef Mickey's this time, but have received them in the past.
