It doesn't have to be your exact birthdate to get a button at City Hall 
I also recommend telling the CM that it's a birthday trip when setting up your PS's. I told my CM that we were celebrating both my dd's bdays and she made special note of it and told me to remind the waitstaff too. I'm sure it'll just be something small like a cupcake, but every little thing helps make a trip special kwim.
