my daughter will celebrate her 11th brithday while we are in Florida, and she expects something special while at Disney. Does anyone know if they do anything special for birthday guests at the parks, hotels or restaurants? Would we need to be there the actual date, or a day before or after would be OK, too? (we also want to go to SeaWorld & may end up there on her actual birthday) If you can order cakes, etc, at the restaurants, is there a fee for this?
Thanks :confused3

Make sure to tell the hotel. Sometimes they will leave a special gift in your room. Also, if you are going to a restaurant, tell the host or waiter. Make sure that you get an "It's my Birthday" button at the park that you are going to on her b-day. You can get it at guest services or town hall at MK. If you won't be at disney on her actual b-day, definitely pick another day to celebrate. I don't know if Sea World does anything for b-days. have a great trip!!!! ::MinnieMo

We're going in Dec. for the second year in a row to celebrate our dd's birthday. Last year, when she turned 5, I noted it on our reservation and there were balloons and a card from Snow White waiting in our room at the WL. Also, we got her birthday buttons from every park we visited, it doesn't have to be her actual birthday, we're there to celebrate it, so it's her "birthday trip". The buttons got her free dessert at WCC on morning, and a few other places as well. I ordered her a cake from LTT on the actual evening of her birthday. It was a 6" cake with no name on it, just "happy birthday" and it was $12. They just added it to our bill. You have to call 48 hrs. in advance to order a cake from the restaraunt where you will be having dinner. I'm sure your dd will have a wonderful time!

If it is important to have something special (and I understand why it would be :) ), don't leave it to chance. Make some kind of arrangements yourself and consider anything else that happens extra magic. I'm sure she will get lots of special wishes if she is wearing a button. Have a great time.

I went to Disney World in June for my 16th birthday, and had an incredible, magical time. Make sure you tell your resort about her birthday. My parents told the BC and there was a card from Mickey and ballons waiting in my room for me. Make sure you also tell all the restaurants that you eat at that it is her birthday. I recieved cards, cupcakes, and all sorts of things from the restaurants we ate at. Oh and you can't forget the birthday button. Castmembers will wish her a "Happy Birthday" all day. I even got a "Happy Birthday" from a pirate in the Share a Dream Come True Parade. Birthday wishes mean a lot, and I'm sure she will enjoy it. No matter what you do though, I'm sure she'll have a magical time.
