Birthday Card ?s

My family will be celebrating 2 of our kids birthdays while staying at SSR. I heard that you can have Birthday cards delivered to the room for the kids. Has anyone done this? SSR says it is up to member services to set up but MS told me they would note it on reservation and it is up to SSR to do it.

This is prettty hit or miss. If you want something done, you might arrange for a delivery from Disney Florist. MS can note the birthdays but it's up to the resort to follow through. There will be people who post that they got balloons & a card and others who received nothing.

Be sure to pick up the Birthday button from the parks.

Yes, we just did this in April at SSR. It was on our reservation already, but I mentioned it again when I checked in. The CM asked what DD9's favorite character is (I had no idea - I would have said Tinkerbelle, but she said Minnie - I asked her discreetly so she wouldn't know why I was asking.) Anyway, on her birthday, they delivered a card signed by Mickey and Minnie along with a 3-balloon bouquet. (Here's a tip - if you arrange for something like this they will attempt to deliver it to your room during the day. If you have the "Do not disturb" sign on your door, they will not deliver it!) I got a phone call later in the day saying they tried to deliver earlier, but couldn't because of the sign - I didn't even know it was on the door!) Anyway, it all worked out because when we heard a knock on the door, DD9 answered it and her face lit up when she saw the balloons.
