Hi!
We are going in July and it will be my neice's birthday on the Sunday that we are there. We were lucky enough to get a PS for breakfast that morning at CRT and it will also be her first trip to Disney, but I wanted to make sure that she had an actual birthday cake for her birthday. We want to do a little private party for her in the room that night.

I know that the GF bakery does the slipper dessert, but we will not be going to the GF for any meals. We are staying at the WL. Can the WL do a birthday cake or do I need to order one from somewhere else?

Any suggestions????

Thanks in advance for all your help!! :flower:

You can order a birthday cake from the Boardwalk Bakery, but you'll have to pick it up, they don't deliver. THey are yummy!

If you know where you are eating that night, call ahead about a week before you leave and speak to the manager, They will arrange to have a birthday cake for her for a nominal fee.

For a family birthday we had gifts of a lifetime decorate our resort room and they had a delicious birthday cake included in the package. I was very impressed with their service and would use them again.
BTY WL also sent us a birthday cake that same day that was horrible. We have celebrated MANY birthdays and graduations at WDW and I have not been impressed by any of the resort or park cakes that I have ordered.
It will be great - just being with Mickey for your birthday is magical! Have fun and enjoy! ::MickeyMo

Thanks for all the ideas.

I'm going to do some investigating into the gifts of a lifetime and see how much they charge. If not, I'll probably just get a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery.

I knew ya'll would know what to do!

Thanks again! :flower:

Don't forget to go to City Hall and get her Its My Birthday Button, she will get special attention at the Park. This is available at all the parks.

Our last trip was over my youngest DD's 4th b-day and we were staying at VWL so we called over to Room Service and told them what we were looking for and they connected me to the right person. They made a custom cake for her and it was one of the best cakes we have ever had....chocolate marble with buttercream frosting and a chocolate mouse filling. They even sprinked candy mickey heads all over it. Plus I told them the time to deliver it and they showed up exactly on time. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

We got a birthday cake for our son at LTT at lunch time. It cost about $10 and was just the right size for the three of us (plus we had some left over). They decorated the table with streamers and pixie dust. We told them when we checked in that it was his birthday and asked if they could do anything. They offered this cake and it was great. They put the leftovers in a box and we brought it back to our room with us. Then we got another at 1900 Park Faire - it was more expensive and shaped like Mickey. So we had lots of cake to eat.

Here are two suggestions: 1) If you eat at the Crystal Palace they have birthday cakes there (decorated but not personalized) for about $12.50. All you have to do is tell the server that you want a cake and they will bring it out lighted whenever you want.

You can also order a personalized cake to be delivered to your room by calling (407)824-7091 at least 48 hours before you need the cake. I believe the charge for this is about $40.00. :bday:
