Birthday cakes

Hi all,
I have booked inventions and walts for our February trip, invention for dd birthday and walts for dh birthday and have ordered birthday cakes for both, I'm now a little worried as a few people have said now that cakes have changed to an ice cream/ meringue kind and they aren't very nice :-/ if I email/ call reservations again do you think they would let me have the old chocolate gateaux style?

Its only ice cream cakes everywhere now. They're delicious, I haven't seen anyone say they're not nice??

The b'day cakes are now a Vacherin cake. As it is written on all the latest menus that I photoed I'd be suprised if they offer any other choices unless they still have a large stock lying about in their freezers.

Who said that the ice cream cakes weren't very nice as all the feedback I have been seeing is positive

Yes from what I have read the reviews are not good so I was worried!!
But if your saying they are nice then that's great!!

It was on another forum where I saw a few people commenting on it not being very nice!
Am I right in thinking at walts it would be ok for us to just have a main course and the cake for dessert?
