Birthday Cakes

First time On Dinning Plan. Hear it's a lot of food w/ dessert.

Will be celebrating 2 kids birthdays on 2 separate days. Should I order a cake for each?

Celebrated 10th Anniversary @ WDW. Ordered a Castle Cake. It beautiful and delicous. Expesive and small.

Since the Dinning Plan has dessert, should still order Birthday Cakes? Want to make DS3 and DD1 birthdays special.

DS will going to H&V Characeter Lunch
(Althought thinking maybe also going to Prime TIme 50's Cafe to celebrate there).

DD will be at Cinderella's Lunch @ the Castle. Can I still order the Slipper dessert? Will they put a candle on it?

There is a whole thread called something like "The Offical Birthday and Anniversary Cake thread" around here somewhere. Do a search for it and I think you can find not only all of your answers but lots of great photos as well!

Yes, I would check out the thread mentioned above, also.

I used it to get an idea of what cake to order for my 30th b-day this past Aug. We ate dinner at CRT and were on DDP. The server made a huge deal about my b-day and really gave us the royal treatment, no pun intended! It was awesome to have the cake...a spluge I'm grateful I did. In lieu of our DDP desserts, our waitress brought us huge dishes of vanilla ice cream with a chocolate crown decoration to go with our cake! It was sooooooo tasty and special!!!! The cake was decorate simple with my choice of colored roses and writing, but it was just divine! My pics are on the b-day cake thread, but if you want me to PM them to you, just ask!

I really do hope they fix that Search Feature. This site is loseing it's appeal cause of that.

The thread has also made it a bit difficult... those cakes look so so good.

Just don't know what to do. It's me, DH, DD4, DS3 & DD1

DD1 will have Birthday Lunch @ CRT. I think I'll order the Cinderella's Glass Slipper Dessert. We'll be on the DDP which seems like alot of food but not really at the Cinderella Lunch. Not sure we'll like the dessert, Warm Blueberry Buckle with Lemon ice cream & finished with creme fraiche. But the kids will like the Sundae so I think the Slipper Dessert will be good.

Now for DS3...
We'll have lunch @ H&V Character lunch. H&V will have a selection of dessets so I don't know if it's worth it to buy a cake.

Thinking of maybe doing a dinner @ 50 Primetime Cafe and Maybe celebrate there (run of TS credit so this will be OOP). Can I order a cake for 50PT?

I didn't see a telephone number for 50PT on that thread. I'm hoping to get a nice cake there. Is it possible for that Mickey head (1st pic for Broadwalk Bakery)? The cake will be expensive enough, don't want a delivery fee. What's possible from 50 PT? Just love that place and I think it will be fun.

Or should choose someplace else? Doing MM for Fantastmic Dinner Pkg (another night) & H&V Charceter Meal and Sci-Fi will be too dark. What's left for a DS3 birthday clebration w/ cake? Or do I stick w/ celebrating at H&V Charceter Lunch w/o cake?

I heard a rumor that the slipper was only available at the Grand Floridian restraunts now. Someone with more knowledge...verify??
