We will be in Disneyland in November and will be celebrating my son's birthday. I'd love to order him a cake from somewhere, but it seems it's only possible at table service restaurants which is a bit pricey for our family. Can we go just for appetizers and still order the cake? Or any other suggestions?

Last time we went (in April 2016) we ordered a cake for my sons 4th birthday. We made reservations at Carnation Cafe and had the cake delivered there. I feel like the food prices there are similar to many counter service places in Disneyland so may be something worth looking into. I don't know for sure but I don''t see why you wouldn't be able to just have appetizers and the cake. You pay for the cake with you dinner, not beforehand, so it is just added to your dinner bill. We got the smallest cake they offer and it turned out so cute. They let you pick a character theme to it which is just a chocolate piece with a picture of the character. When you call they will have lots of options sometimes different ones for the same character. We ended up with Mickey and Friends which was perfect for our son.

This is perfect! We have never tried Carnation Cafe, so never would have thought of it. Thanks so much!!

Had back to back cakes for back to back birthdays this February. It was great. son had a lightning mcqueen cake, daughter had Mickey mouse. The first at trattoria, daughter at carnation cafe.

Just had apps at trattoria. Meal at carnation cafe. Great memories.
