Birthday Cake?????????????

Hi everyone,
It will be Dd7's 8th birthday whilst in Florida,is there anywhere along I-Drive i can get her a birthday cake??.(have'nt a clue as i have never had to look for one before).Were not driving,so along I-Drive is ideal.
What type of ones have you seen-character wise? It's only for the 4 of us once we get back to the room from MK.Thanks in advance.x.

Just a thought Publix near the Premium outlets do them but there's bound to be other supermarkets who will stock them too... they have a few on their website just "google" Publix Orlando you'll get a list of locations to choose from. Failing that Garden Grocer may be worth a try.

We got one from Goodings on International Drive in 2005 and they write your message on the cake, but not sure if it still there.

We struggled to find a birthday cake in the style you'd get here. They tend to have the faux cream on them. We ended up with cupcakes with plastic ring toppers for the kids birthdays which, to be honest they didn't eat! We looked in Walmart.

The Publix is on International Drive South - way near the bottom past SW etc. - we stayed at the Sheraron Vistana on ID a few years ago & it was handy for us.

they dont seam to have the iceing sugger covered ones over there but the ones they do have are yumie

If you visit www.publix.com, you can get the phone number and address of the Publix nearest you and look at the cakes they can make. I'm not sure if they'll take your order over the phone but that would sure be nice.

We've had birthdays at Disney and found really nicely decorated cakes at the Goodings at the Crossroads Mall. Also, I've just picked up a cake at the Publix bakery and asked them to write Happy Birthday and my son's name on it, then finished the decorating myself with little plastic figures of characters.

The publix on i drive is opposite sea world at the traffic signals just a few yards down the road, our friend Anthony is the manager over the bakery department so if you need any ???? answered let me know and i can give him a call ( any excuse to ring Orlando LOL).
