Never done this before but it will be DS's birthday when we are at Disneyland next week and I thought it might be fun. DS has chosen the Restaurant des Stars to eat in on his birthday which I suppose means it will have to be lunch. He doesn't actually eat cake
but I think he will love the pantomime of the cast coming out singing and bringing it to the table. So my questions are:
How much does the cake cost and is there a shareholders/AP discount?
How far in advance do you have to reserve it?
I think I have read that taking uneaten cake out of the restaurant is not allowed, is there anyway round this? DH and I will not be able to eat a whole cake between us, especially after a meal!
Bearing that in mind, is there anywhere where you can JUST have the cake experience without having a meal first?
Anything else I should consider?

Might have been nice if they'd told us this before we'd ordered the 3 course set menu.
but I can pretty much guarantee he won't touch it. Now DH can do a pretty good impression of someone who can eat a whole cake on his own but even he does have limits so it looks like there will be some lucky people on neighbouring tables if we can't take it away. As Carrie said, it is the event that is important really.
I am a bit worried about the "might have to queue anyway" bit as DS is not good at either waiting or standing too long - he has a disabled pass but I don't suppose that will make any difference there. We can be flexible as to time though so I will ask when is best.
