Birthday Cake in Room

Hi,

We will be staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter for my daughter's birthday in February, is it possible to call the resort in advance and arrange for a birthday cake in our room.

Hi Maggie, I have done this at the GF and the Poly. I believe it is in-room dining that will arrange it for you. Just call the hotel and they will take care of it for you. All I did when I wanted the cake was to call from my room and give them a time to have it there! Joan

I would call the Resort directly. I think that is what I am going to do. My DD b-day is in Feb. and we will also be staying at POFQ.

If you cannot do it through the hotel. I know you can call the GF or 1900 Park Fare and order a cake but you will have to go there to pick it up. Ordered one yesteday for DH and my nephews birthday during our trip. 1/4 of a sheet cake -vanilla cake, custard/w strawberries filling, and buttercream icing - for only $55. Not as bad price wise as I thought it would be actually. They do also have 6" and 8" inch rounds though our party was too large for those. The number for the GF bakery is 407-824-2982.

I do'nt think you can get cakes delivered to your room at the value and moderate resorts as they have very limited room service options.

As others have pointed out you can order them from other places and pick it up yourself.

The BW bakery would likely be the closest place to get one, and they are excellent!

Agreed! They request 24 hours on birthday cake orders - we ordered one for our daughter. She was able to watch them finish icing it and writing her name on it. It was an excellent cake. (In case you didnt recognize the initials, talking about the Boardwalk Bakery)
