Hi all
ANOTHER QUESTION SORRY.

The day we fly is actually my oldest sons 10th birthday,He has already had a few Birthdays at Disney but his bday is normally at the end and so we always have gotten the cake when we get home!
This time however we are not telling the boys about the holiday until the night before or even at the airport "not quite got that figured out yet"

Anyways my question is because its our travel day and we have time to eat the cake is there anyway of getting a cake and having it delivered to our room for when we arrive? I know you can get the fancy cakes made by Disney and we actually are having one done for Cali grill as im doing it as a surprise for Dh for our anniverary dinner BUT i wanted a outside vender so it was cheaper :lmao: then the $100 odd im paying for the Disney cake!! we also wanted the is it Garden grocer  so we could get milk etc ready for arrival and was wondering do they do cakes?? I would go to a restaurent but im worried we might all be too tired or should i book for DTD anyways.

Can i also get balloons put in the room ready for when we arrive? ive heard of gift baskets but guessing they are a fortune :confused3

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that you can order both balloons and a cake from Disney Florists, but I don't know how expensive that would be! I don't know about Garden Grocer, you could always contact them and ask them if they would be willing to do that for you! :goodvibes

If you don't mind a more standard cake Disney do the Mickey head for around $50.

Other than that try wegoshop and get a cake from Publix possibly?

Rooms will not be decorated until after check in even I you order from Disney Florist.

Thanks for all the replys

I do have one idea if i cant get a cake delivered to the room,..we havent yet decided onhow to tell the boys so i was thinking the day before we leave to go to the airport "for twlight check in" of doing a treasure hunt around our camp with the last clue telling them to go get ready for dinner at the Mexican and then at the mexican we could have a cake brought out telling them that they are going to DISNEY WORLD :woohoo:

That way my son would of had his cake and it would be a cool way of telling the boys about the trip! then if i dont manage to get another cake it wont matter too much! :)

What do you think?

Hi Cindy

The cakes at Garden Grocer look a bit boring, but check out the ones on Amazon.com. I remember a few people on the boards ordering from their grocery section for delivery to the hotel, not sure if it would be ok with cakes, but they look fab. There is also a birthday cake type gift basket filled with snacks and treats, which he may like more(?).

Good luck, speak soon.
